Busy Week

Phew... has this been a full week. Every night, both Nick and I had something going on. It's been nice to finally have a day to catch up with things at home and take a break!

On Thursday night I had some fun plans in the evening- I went over to Jani Bravenboer's house for a Mary Kay party. About ten gals were there (most of which work at CIY). I didn't know anyone other than Jani & Amy Hunt, but felt very comfortable and had a great time meeting some super sweet gals!

Today was D-day for my Christmas newsletters. It took me hours, but yea!- I'm done now. I got Christmas pictures developed at Wal-Mart, the newsletters printed onto the stationary at Office Max, and even got cute little snowflake stamps at the post office (that sort of match the envelopes... how cute!). Be looking for them in your mailbox early next week!

I know last time I had brought up our obsession with the Monk series. Okay, so now I have a personal new obsession to add to it- Making Memories scrapbooking supplies. On my route to get everything together for the newsletters, I thought I'd take a 'pitstop' and Michaels and Target just to look around. Three hours later, I left to head home. I totally lost track of time when I started to look thru all the amazing Making Memories books. It really got my inner Craft Goddess (ha! or lack thereof!) in the mood to start some fun projects. Goodness knows, I haven't got the time, but it was a ton of fun looking at the cool crafty stuff. You know, isn't that kind of funny how busy we get ourselves? Here I am- 22 and without kids- and I don't have the time to do all that fun, crafty stuff I've always wanted to do. I can't imagine life will slow down any as time goes by, so I guess I'll just have to make time for it when I can.

Nick finished his last week of classes. Next week, he's got finals and then he'll be on break (or rather, he'll be able to work more, so not exactly a break but you catch my drift). He's really in need of some mental down time. On Wednesday he was working on homework until 1:00 am and on Thursday, he was up until 2:30 A.M. doing homework, too. This becomes a routine habit at times, not because he holds things off, but because his workload is so heavy. If I were him, I'd sleep for an entire week to make up for all the sleep he didn't get throughout the semester!!! I honestly do not know how he does it. He's just an amazing guy!!!

Well, we're going to start a Christmas movie marathon, so I best be gettin'. Scrooge and How the Grinch Stole Christmas are calling my name. Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
