Yesterday I kept my phone by me the whole day, awaiting a call from work (I needed a confirmation that I could start on Wednesday). I waited, and waited... and it never came. As I was getting ready for bed last evening, I gave my phone one final look and found that I had six missed messages (two of which were from Tamko). I was mortified. My phone never rang all day and it hadn't shown any missed messages until then. Missing that call cost me a day... I'll start on Thursday. I was not to happy about my phone, needless to say. I need to have it looked at.
Yesterday, we both had the day off, so we got some things accomplished and hung around the house. In the morning I got all the laundry done, the kitchen scrubbed down, and a brunch made. In the afternoon we got my car inspected & my license tags changed. Nick got his license renewed, as well (and unlike most license pictures, his came out great). We have $0.50 Tuesdays at a local dollar theater so we went and saw Elizabethtown afterwards. Neither of us liked it very much at all. The script-writing was bad and the crowd we were in was noisy (lots of talking throughout the whole movie). Luckily, we weren't out of a whole lot of money seeing it. We finished the day going grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. I got ingredients to try out Mom's amazing chicken curry. Nick's never had it and wants to help me make it. Today, since I have the day off (yet another day!) I'm going to go exploring. I found newspaper adds for local country crafty stores as well as some scrapbooking stores so I'm going to scout out the area. It's always fun to look around and it helps give me ideas of where to take gals in the family when they come and spend time with us.
Later this week, we need to wrap all of our Christmas presents. We got all our Christmas shopping done early this year. The only thing that hasn't come in is our wedding pictures. I told everyone I'd have their pictures ready for them come Christmas and they still are not here, despite the fact I got the order out early. I do not know why they haven't come yet. Hopefully, I'll get them in the mail the next day or so. In the meantime, I'm going to hold off wrapping the presents so I can get them all done at once.
