Last night we had our small group party. The past two days I've been able to get out of work a few hours earlier in the afternoon. I didn't think it would be a problem kicking out paperwork and doing the same last night. Our distribution specialist, Jim, noticed I'd gotten work done significantly earlier for the past few days and gave me a big project last afternoon. So, needless to say, I got home late, not early. We have so much "stuff" at home, it's almost impossible to keep clean. When I got home, I was in a mad dash to try to clean up. Nick and I were both in full speed cleaning zone when the doorbell rang. All the cleaning didn't get completely done, but we still had a great time. Our small group leaders, Jeremy & Sara Nelson, and Mindy were able to come over for our lasagna night. After supper, the three of them taught Nick and I how to play Cranium, which was a ton of fun. The boys finished the night with a round of Scene It. I thought Nick finally found his match on that game. They both love movies.
I don't keep up much on pop culture (and don't care to, for that matter) but I have to admit that American Idol is my one crutch. I love that show! We taped it while everyone was over, so we could watch it when they left. We've been able to predict who would get kicked off each week and so I thought I had it in the bag who was leaving (Bucky). I was shocked that Kevin got the lowest amount of points. Cute, little Kevin! Oh well... I like everyone on that show, but I think it's time Bucky went home. I predict that Kathryn McPhee and Taylor Hicks will top the show (though Elliott Yamin's my favorite guy).
Tomorrow, Dad will be coming down to get some tax stuff done and we'll get to see him for a while. We'll look forward to seeing him soon.
