Last night, we got hit by a large thunderstorm. There were tornado warnings north and south of us and we got some pretty bad hail last night. We were so fortunate that we did have any damage to our roof or cars!Though the weather was nasty all around us, we had great weather until late evening. It was even sunny when we went to church! After grocery shopping and my strings sectional, we decided to go on a walk. We live near the Frisco-Greenway Trail and felt like seeing how long it really was. It forks and we've gone to the left before, but never successfully finished the fork to the right. We were engrossed in conversation, which helped us finish the trail. I don't think we could of otherwise! It turned out to be about a 4.5 mile walk. During the afternoon we had received some big gusts of wind, but it was a good thing. It kept us cool as we headed back home.
Since we didn't know whether the thunderstorm would turn into a tornado watch, we stayed up pretty late watching the weather advisories. Luckily, nothing came, but I was still in a frenzy. We've gone to our neighbor's basement during a tornado warning earlier this year but we both felt they were trying to push us back home (even though the sirens were still blaring), so I didn't know what we would have done if anything tornadic occured. We're thinking a storm shelter might be a wise investment. :)
