A Walk in the Park

Luke & I went up to Parkville, MO today to meet up with my grandmother for a few hours. I've really missed not living as close to her since we've moved from St. Joe and was so glad to be able to spend some time with her today. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so we enjoyed a walk in a park by the Missouri River and lunch at Stone Canyon Pizza. Luke absolutely adores his great-grandma... as he should. She's an amazing woman and one of my heros; works 20-30 hours a week, stays active, works out, volunteers in the community, does missions work, is a wonderful hostess and cook, and I don't know that I've ever heard her complain. If anyone exudes the joy of the Lord, it's her. I'm so thankful to have her in my life and am so glad it worked out to spend a wonderfully warm day with her.
